Gavel Club

Where can your student learn public speaking skills? Where can he or she learn to run a business meeting and use Parliamentary procedure? Where can he or she develop leadership skills? At Gavel Club!

Gavel Club is an encouraging place to learn to speak in front of others:

• Gaveliers give both impromptu and prepared speeches.
• Gaveliers give and receive peer feedback on speeches.
• Gaveliers learn how to prepare an agenda and run a formal meeting.
• Gaveliers use Parliamentary procedure at meetings.
• After delivering ten prepared speeches, Gaveliers earn the "Competent Communicator Award" from Toastmasters International. All awards earned in Gavel Club transfer to Toastmasters clubs.

Gavel Clubs are affiliated with Toastmasters International. They follow the same meeting format and use the same materials s adult Toastmasters clubs.
